They are the epitome of true love, as they are monogamous and mate for life with their partners. Their mating begins with courtship, and this can continue throughout their lifespan, which is typically 15 years.
When they get separated or if their partner dies, they display behaviors that can be likened to depression. That’s how loyal they are to their companion!

There are a lot of species of lovebirds around the world, but they are native to Africa. Most of these species have bright green bodies with different colored heads, similar to hanging parrots that are mostly found in Asia.

The rosy-faced lovebird (Agapornis roseicollis), sometimes known as the rosy-collared or peach-faced lovebird, originally have beautiful green bodies, with a blue rump, horn-colored bill, and grey feet.

With their growing population, they branched out into more different color combinations ranging from white, teal, black, lavender, and yellow.
