SHE SAW A LARGE BACKPACK IN A TRASH CAN, HORRIFIED SHE REALIZED THERE WAS SOMETHING MOVING INSIDE IT!
Just over a year ago a woman in Alberta, Canada, was taking out the trash when she saw a large backpack in the garbage can. She looked on in horror as all on its own, the bag moved. There was something alive inside!
Calling out to her partner they opened the backpack only to find there was another bag inside. She pulled out the smaller bag and opened it.
They couldn’t believe their eyes, inside the smaller bag was a ginger cat! He was in really rough shape so they immediately contacted Alberta Animal Services.
On the scene within minutes, rescuers took the very ill kitty straight to the emergency care center.
They found him to be completely starved and covered in extensive injuries. However, he was still alive and seemed to have some fight left in him.
Refusing to give up rescuers decided to see if he made it through the night. If he did he might just live.
ONE WEEK LATER HE WAS A DIFFEReNT CAT!
They were right. Hiro as he was named, not only survived that first night, day by day he went from strength to strength.
One week after he was brought in he was a completely different cat. Still a little shaky on his feet, his eyes were clear and he was now able to stand on all four paws.
In the weeks that followed, he never ceased to amaze everyone with his incredible resilience. “He is so affectionate despite all that he has gone through.
As soon as he hears or sees the animal nurses he starts purring and demands cuddles.”
Hiro had to have surgery to repair his hips and before long he was running around and playing at his foster home.
He was definitely a fighter because less than two months later he had made a full recovery.
It was time to find him a new home and after strict screening and home visits they found him an amazing family who will give Hiro the best life filled with love, kindness and future care.
He spent 50 days in our care and against all odds he survived his injuries,” said one of his carers.
Now Hiro is now part of a wonderful family where he is cared for and loved, we think he deserves no less.
This amazing kitty is a true hero!
He is in fact, Hiro the Hero!
