MAN CREATES A SANCTUARY FOR ORPHANED KANGAROOS WHOSE MOTHERS HAVE BEEN HIT BY CARS

We often talk about people spending their life trying to help animals by creating shelters to save them from a sad fate, but this is the very first time we hear (and write) about a sanctuary made just for orphaned kangaroos.

The man who set this up in Alice Spring, Australia, is Chris “Brolga” Barns, who after a few experiences as a bird keeper in Western Australia and zoo keeper in the Northern Territory decided to create something in first person to help these cute animals.

He created his own sanctuary to help kangaroos whose mothers have been hit by cars, and right now he takes care of 28 of them. He usually saves baby kangaroos from the side of the road, while still lying in their mom’s pouch.

Luckily Chris received many donations that helped him pursuing his dream.
