TWO CALICO KITTENS FOUND BY THE SIDE OF THE ROAD HAD TO STAY ALIVE BY KEEPING EACH OTHER GOING WITHOUT THEIR MOM.
Less gain 48 hours old 2 kittens are found on the side of the road. Knowing they needed immediate care, and attention a volunteer from Sparkle Cat Rescue immediately transported them across the state into their new home in northern Carolina.
Once they arrived, Sarah Kelly, their new foster mom, sprang into action, providing them with around-the-clock care.
“These calico sisters are less than 48 hours old and are facing quite the uphill climb having never been with their mom.”
“Tiny, delicate lives do not need to be enduring this struggle.”
Sarah began around the clock feedings for the two tiny neonates. Once their bellies were full, she placed them in a warm incubator where they went straight to sleep, finally having full bellies for the first time in their short lives.
Sarah gave them the names Soleil and Luna, meaning sun and moon because the two tiny calicoes had opposite markings on their little faces.
Soleil and Luna had been found clinging to each other beside the road, providing each other the support they lacked from mom.
