The universal desire of all mothers is to comfort their babies when they cry. It is no different for this sweet new golden retriever mom who wants nothing more than to help her babies the best way she knows how.
This heartwarming video of Yami, a golden retriever from Zhengzhou, China, was captured by her owner, Ms. Lu.
Ms. Lu shared the video and the story was picked up by MailOnline. First-time mom, Yami had given birth to three puppies earlier in the month and was very devoted to them. Like all good moms, she wanted to keep her puppies happy.
One day when her puppies started to cry, Yami began to pace the room and look around. Yami looks a bit anxious as if she’s not sure how to stop them from crying. Her adorable puppies are snuggled safe and warm in their bed but obviously wanted something more.
As Yami looks around the room she gets an idea. She’ll bring her babies her dog toys! That should make them happy, right?
Yami brings a toy to the puppies and nudges it with her nose as if to say, “here’s a fun toy, you can stop crying now.” The toy didn’t immediately do the trick so Yami did what any good girl would do, she went and got more toys for her puppies.
Soon, their comfy bedroom was filled with dog toys but according to Ms. Lu, it took a few hours for the puppies to quiet down. Yami, the devoted mother that she is, snuggled with her puppies and stroked them with her nose to reassure the pups.
